A graduate of the prestigious Neighborhood Playhouse where he studied under Sanford Meisner, Michael has been an active force in the business for forty years. He was a co-Founder, Artistic Director and Executive Director of the Muskoka Festival Theatre from 1972 to 1991, where he produced over 200 productions. As a professional actor for over 35 years, Michael has performed in film, television, radio and theatres across Canada, the U.S. and Europe. Some of his films include Tuxedo, Are you Afraid of the Dark?, Billy Madison, Dracula and Che Guevara. He has also directed several Canadian classic theatrical productions and has worked on various productions for CBC Radio, most notably Nero Wolfe. Michael is the former Vice Chair of the Ontario Film Review Board and Chair of the Policy Committee from 1996 to 1998 during which time he spearheaded changes to the Provincial Classification Guidelines.
