Amy Briggs has more than 25 years of experience in the technical communication field and as an educator in North America, the Middle East and Asia. She has worked with large enterprise software industries, financial services and healthcare companies. Most recently as part of a progressive team at IBM Watson Health, her focus was documenting devices that improve patient care through integrated artificial intelligence (AI). Amy specializes in IT software documentation, information architecture, content strategy and usability. As a certified professional technical communicator (CPTC™), Scrum Master and Agile practitioner, she has trained technical writers to effectively use Agile within product teams. Amy is a long-standing member of the Society for Technical Communication and is an accredited trainer for the CPTC™ professional certification. Amy holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Texas A&M University and a Master of Arts from Southern Methodist University.
