Vilson Botelho has reached new heights in his career after receiving a prestigious Sports Emmy Award in May 2018. In the “Outstanding Live Sports Coverage in Spanish” category, the Seneca graduate was among a team of 15 operations producers who were awarded for their work on the 2018 FIFA Men's World Cup, as broadcast by Telemundo, a Spanish-language TV network in the U.S. The 40th annual awards were presented by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences in New York City.
