Science Communication

Overview

The Greater Toronto Area is a major hub for scientific research and innovation and home to North America’s largest life sciences sector. These industries need effective communicators and demand is growing for those with the skills to articulate complex concepts to professional and public audiences.

Seneca’s Science Communication Executive Certificate program is the only one of its kind in Ontario.  It will equip you with the key knowledge and skills you need for effective science communication across a variety of platforms.

This program is for research scientists, managers in science-based fields or for those with a background in research science, regulatory affairs or other science-based fields. It will also be of interest to you if you’re a scientist working at a hospital and want to become a better writer, storyteller or digitally-engaged communicator.

Testimonial

"From helping me break down scientific content to bite-sized pieces to learning new skills like creating videos and blogs, this course is a whole package. The best part was the professors, guest speakers and my amazing classmates who were from diverse fields and made the course very interactive and engaging. I loved that it was conducted in hybrid fashion, so even though I was far away I could still gain quality education. I would recommend this course for professionals in science-oriented fields who are looking to improve their storytelling capabilities.”
