Clayton is an anti-racist educator and scholar practitioner who has worked for the past 20 years in various capacities within higher education in the U.S. and Canada. Currently he is a professor in the School of English and Liberal Studies where he teaches courses pertaining to race and ethnic relations in Canada, men and masculinities, introduction to sociology, and diversity issues in the workplace. Clayton holds a BA in English, an M.Sc. in cultural and social foundations of education, and has completed doctoral coursework in the Sociology and Equity Studies program at OISE/U of T. He has designed, taught and facilitated courses and workshops on diversity, race/ethnicity, life skills, student leadership, and men’s issues.
