As the Liberal Arts program co-ordinator at the Newnham campus, Denise enjoys passing her love of philosophy and history to students. She teaches philosophy and humanities in the program, and ethics for the Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies. Denise completed her doctorate at York University, integrating philosophical analysis with psychology. She was awarded a Social Sciences and Humanities Research grant for her work. Denise’s current research interests centre on women in history and on ethics in the 21st century. She has recently designed a research ethics training course intended for post-doctoral psychology researchers working with returning veterans in the U.S.
