Virtual Workshop Support

OPEN.innovate is a well-connected not-for-profit organization that aims to provide accessible learning and mentorship opportunities for young creatives and entrepreneurs in the Durham Region looking to build their careers in music, creative technology and film. Their passion to invest in the creatives of the next generation helps them provide and hold workshops and panel discussions with some of Canada’s leading creators and talent.

OPEN.innovate came to Seneca 360 for technological support and direction in hosting a virtual workshop series. Led by Tim Abbott, a professor at the School of Media, Event & Media Production diploma program graduate Adil Bedra facilitated the workshop series, helping it run smoothly to bring the intentions of OPEN.innovate to success.

“We are so thankful for Seneca 360 and everything they did during our 'Build a Business Plan' program. They really helped guide our transition from in-person events to virtual in the thick of the pandemic. The team was organized, clear and made us feel confident in our ability to run our own future virtual events. Thank you for the partnership and for allowing us to make a difference in our community.”

-Maryam Bayoumi, Executive Director & Founder, OPEN.innovate

“Seneca 360 is a great platform for graduated students or graduating students as it gives a kick start in the beginning of their professional career and it teaches the skills required to handle client requirements, which we don't come across during our educational course. Additionally, it teaches the importance of how to work in a team, follow deadlines, meet the client’s expectations, and many more things which helps to understand the reality of the industry.”
