Susan O’Neill awarded Seneca Cup
Susan is graduating from the Child Development honours degree program. She was attracted to the program because of the opportunity to transform her early childhood education diploma into a degree.
The highlight of Susan’s time at Seneca was her engaging co-op semester, during which she worked as a research assistant on a number of relevant projects. Susan’s co-op experience enabled her to blend classroom theory with real-world challenges. Susan’s outstanding contributions to the Seneca community are numerous and noteworthy.
She has served as a peer tutor and mentor and was heavily involved in an interdisciplinary pilot project that allowed her to collaborate with students from different programs, including 911 and Emergency Services Communications, Police Foundations and Nursing.
Susan is currently co-ordinating an innovative literacy program involving therapy dogs and has plans to pursue a master’s degree in the next year.
