Parking at King Campus

Payment Options

Using Your OneCard

There are two different types of parking gates at our campuses. Both gates allow OneCard holders with parking plans to use the card to enter and exit parking lots. The images and information below provide more information.

Type 1

This type of ticket machine requires the driver to tap their OneCard on the “SWIPE ACCESS CARD HERE” terminal to lift the gate. The terminal is located on the ticket machine.

Type 2

This type requires the driver to tap their OneCard on the “PARKING PASS HOLDERS” terminal to lift the gate. The terminal is located on a separate panel (marked in red on the photo below) before the ticket machine.

*Your OneCard must be linked to a semester parking plan to use this feature.

Pay-as-you-go

Entering

As you enter the parking lot, insert your Value Pass in the available slot of the Pay station. The gate will lift for you to enter the parking lot.

Exiting

As you exit the parking lot, insert your Value Pass in the payment slot. Your card will be return to you. Take your card to lift the exit gate.

Take Ticket at the Gate

As you enter the parking lot, press the “PUSH FOR TICKET” button to obtain a ticket. The gate will lift. There are two options available to make your payment when using tickets obtained at the gate.

Pay stations

Take your ticket with you and pay for parking at a pay station when you are leaving. Tickets validated at a pay station are then inserted into the exit gate to lift the gate.

Paying at the gate

Insert your parking ticket in the “INSERT TICKET” slot when you are ready to leave. The amount owed for parking will be displayed on the screen.

Pay with credit card

You can pay by cash or credit card at pay stations. To pay with your credit card, insert your card into the same slot used to insert your ticket.

Pay by cash

To pay with cash, insert cash into the “INSERT BILL FACE UP” slot, or insert coins into the COINS slot seen in the image below.

Your parking exit ticket and receipt (if requested during payment) will be issued from the “INSERT TICKET” slot. You will need to keep your ticket as it will be required to open the exit gate for you to exit the parking lot.

Tap & Go Payment

The tap and go payment option allows you to enter and exit the parking lot without needing to obtain a ticket at the gate. Do not take a ticket from the gate when using this payment option.

Follow the instructions below.

Entering

If your credit allow allows tap-and-go payments, tap it on the PayPass reader pictured above, to open the gate. Do not take a ticket if you are paying this way.

Exiting

Tap the same credit card on the PayPass reader. The amount owing will be displayed on the screen. Press the lost ticket button for your receipt. Take the receipt from the ticket slot and the parking gate will lift for you to exit the parking lot.

Exit Tickets

Exit tickets are pre-paid parking tickets that are sold at the Bookstore and OneCard offices in sets of 14. They are valid only on weekday evenings after 5 p.m. and on weekends.

How to use them

When you enter a parking lot, take the ticket issued at the gate. The gate will lift for you to enter the parking lot.

When leaving the parking lot, insert the gate ticket obtained when you entered the lot, followed by one of the pre-paid exit tickets. The gate will lift, allowing you to exit.
