The first change you will notice is that the gates in lots 4, 5, 6, 7 and 9 will be lifted. This will reduce the time you need to wait to get into or out of the parking lots. It will be most notable at busy times when lineups to exit the parking lots will become much shorter.
Please note, you will still need to pay for parking even though these lots no longer have gates.
To facilitate this change, Seneca Parking is using a new licence-plate-recognition system for enforcement. If you have an active semester pass, you can pull in without tapping your card, park your car and walk into the building without any further action.
Occasional parkers will be able to pay using a mobile payment system called Honk (Zone 3800).
In keeping with Seneca’s cashless initiative, cash will no longer be accepted at any of Newnham’s pay stations. However, cash and debit payments are still accepted at the OneCard Office.
