Book a Skills Assessment Appointment with Examity

Seneca has partnered with Examity, an online proctoring service, to help you complete your Skills Assessment. In your Seneca email, you will receive a message from that will have your Examity login credentials.

To test, you will need a desktop or laptop computer (not a Chromebook, iPad, cellphone or tablet) with a reliable internet connection, webcam and audio capabilities.


Log in to Examity

  1. visit the Examity website using the link provided in the email from
  2. enter your Seneca email address in the “User ID” field
  3. enter the temporary password provided in the email from in the “Password” field
  4. follow the steps on the screen to change your temporary password
  5. create your student profile with Examity by selecting “My Profile” and filling out the requested information

Scheduling with Examity

  1. select “Schedule Exam”
  2. choose a time that is convenient for you
  3. attend your scheduled Skills Assessment appointment on the required day and time
  4. IMPORTANT! At the time of your assessment, you will need your Seneca email address and password
  5. If you have not received your Examity login credentials, check your Seneca email account’s junk folder. Contact if you do not have a Skills Assessment appointment and have not received your Examity login credentials 


Privacy Notice: Online Proctoring

All personal information collected for the purposes of facilitating your participation in the test is done in accordance with sections 21, 39 and 49 of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, and under the legal authority of the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities Act, R.S.O. 1990, and the Ontario Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology Act, 2002, Regulation 34/03.

In order to participate in the test, you will be asked to show a piece of government-issued identification for the proctor to verify your identity. As well, your webcam and computer screen will be monitored and viewed to ensure the integrity of the test by authorized proctors. This means that you and your immediate surroundings, including anything within range of your webcam or on your computer screen, will be monitored and viewed during your test.

Seneca has contracted a third party (Examity) to assist with Skills Assessments. Third-party service providers act on our behalf and are contractually obligated to have sufficient policies and safeguards in place to protect personal information. Third parties are also subject to legal restrictions that prohibit their use the information for any purpose other than the provision of their services.
