Program Description

You will use your well-developed literacy skills in every course as you interpret detailed instructions, both verbal and written, and prepare a variety of legal documents and letters. Your fluency in English is critical for your success and there is a high focus on communicating effectively from the beginning of your program to graduation.

Areas of concentration include Real Estate, Corporate and Commercial Law and Litigation.

Accelerated

This is an accelerated program for students who have already graduated with a degree or diploma and is designed for students who can demonstrate that they have previously achieved the academic equivalents of four general education credits and College English. This allows the completion of the professional subjects in the curriculum over a period of three semesters instead of four.

Field Placement

Meet all necessary academic requirements, and you will have the opportunity to participate in a four-week unpaid field placement for practical experience following the end of final exams in third semester. This component of the program provides you with practical work experience and exposure to potential employers. With the support and assistance of the School's faculty and staff, you will play an active role in securing your placement.

Required Keyboarding Speeds

  • 30 w.p.m. (net) at the end of first semester
  • 45 w.p.m. (net) at the end of second semester
  • 50 w.p.m. (net) for graduation
