Dale Peers has been teaching fashion for more than 30 years. As Seneca’s in-house fashion historian and the School of Fashion’s costume coordinator, Peers has been collecting what Canadians have worn for decades. All of her 10,000 pieces, many of which date back to the 1800s, are housed in Seneca’s Fashion Resource Centre. Before Seneca, Peers was an account executive for Eaton’s department store – an experience she draws from when teaching her Psychology of Fashion and History of Fashion classes. Peers is the president of the Canadian Cosmetic Careers Association and a member of Fashion Group International, the Costume Society of Ontario, and the Museum Association of Ontario. She has also been a guest lecturer for the McMichael Canadian Art Collection.
