Open source software, Web browsers, Mozilla, Work-integrated learning
David Humphrey is a developer and open source expert. Through his teaching and research, Humphrey has worked closely with a number of industry partners, including Mozilla. In conjunction with the Mozilla Foundation, Humphrey is the recipient of the 2015 Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) Synergy Award for his work building new open source technologies within the Firefox internet browser. Humphrey is also a founding member of the Seneca’s Centre for the Development of Open Technology (CDOT) and a regular speaker at conferences and technology gatherings on topics associated with open source practices.
