FFP310 - Introduction to Stock Market Investing

Stock Market Investing focuses on how the market works, how to evaluate stocks through technical and fundamental analysis, and how to create a personal asset mix profile. The course will cover both theory and how markets work in practice. You will learn about the nature and type of the entire investment product range and the associated risks with each. Products such as Mutual Funds, ETFs, Stocks, Bonds and Options will be covered in detail. The course will contain a review of the basics of understanding financial statements and include an analysis of a sample company, focusing on sources of information used in fundamental analysis and a detailed review of techniques used to value the stock.
