On completion of this subject, the student will understand the generalized and technical principles involved in operations management, and be able to apply the various problem solving techniques in the analysis of practical operations management situations. The student will demonstrate these decision making and analytical techniques in written form. This subject is a basic grounding in the field of operations. This field is an intricate part of all organizations, manufacturing and service, as well as both the profit and not-for-profit sectors.
