Overview

Microsoft Azure is a cloud computing service created by Microsoft for building, testing, deploying, and managing applications and services through Microsoft-managed data centres. With more than 200 products and cloud services, the Azure cloud platform is designed to help you build, run, and manage applications across multiple clouds, on-premises, and at the edge, with the tools and frameworks of your choice.

The Microsoft Azure Training is a professional certification program from Microsoft, which comprises of several certification paths for a variety of technical jobs. Each of these prep courses will prepare students to write the certification exams. Courses within this program are geared towards IT professionals and IT graduates who have a networking background.

Microsoft Azure Fundamentals Accelerated Workshop

This course is a promotional workshop being offered at no cost in partnership with Microsoft Canada and RBC. This eight-hour accelerated course will provide foundational-level knowledge on cloud concepts; core Azure services; security, privacy, compliance, and trust; and Azure pricing and support. This course introduces students to Cloud and AI technologies, and primarily uses the Azure portal to create services and does not require scripting skills. Students will gain confidence to take other role-based courses and certifications, such as Azure Administrator. This course also provides an Azure pass and lab environment, and combines lectures, demonstrations, and virtual lab training. This course will also help prepare students for the AZ-900 exam and certification, which is provided as part of these workshops.

Exam information: Upon completion of the workshop, you will be contacted by the Seneca Test Centre regarding the date and time to write your Microsoft Azure AZ-900 certification exam. The exam will be scheduled the week after your workshop, from Monday to Friday during regular work hours. If you do not hear from the Test Centre within three business days of your course completion, please contact mschallengeexams@senecacollege.ca for further details.

Please note: These workshops are held through the Microsoft Teams platform and not Blackboard. Students who register will receive an e-mail confirmation a few days before their class with details on how to log into the Microsoft Teams classroom.
