Feed to Succeed
Since 2017, Feed to Succeed has provided more than 3,000 students, every January, with an alumni-sponsored care package to welcome them back to school.
Filled with nutritious snacks and drinks, the care package provides the perfect boost to help our students tackle a new semester.
This simple act of kindness from our alumni puts smiles on thousands of students’ faces and we could not be more #SenecaProud.
This fall, all Feed to Succeed donations will support the Seneca Student Federation’s (SSF) virtual food bank program.
Since physical food bank locations on campus are closed due to COVID-19, some much-needed on-campus food support that the SSF provides is not available to students. This includes initiatives such as free breakfasts and subsidized hot lunches.
To help fill in this gap, the SSF launched a virtual food bank program to provide students with a virtual grocery store gift card worth $25.
Since the beginning of the fall semester on September 14, over 800 students have received a grocery store gift card.
It does not take a big investment to have a big impact. Here is what one student recipient had to say:
“I feel very lucky the SSF and Seneca alumni are helping us students in these trying times. You may think $25 isn’t a lot, but it’s not the amount that matters. You have always kept students’ wellbeing in mind. Thank you.”
