For Employers

The OSLT courses were created by Ontario Colleges with funding from Citizenship and Immigration Canada to address the labour market need for skilled professionals who are able to communicate effectively in the Canadian workplace environment.

These language courses focus on the language and socio-cultural communications required for working in a profession using Intermediate English. They address the language skills such as: obtaining information about projects, processes, procedures and specifications; communicating by telephone; managing interactions with colleagues, introducing oneself in work-related situations; networking effectively; and interacting with the public.
