Shohreh is graduating from the Social Service Worker – Immigrants and Refugees diploma program. She moved to Canada from Iran four years ago. Her experience as an immigrant led her to pursue a career that focuses on advocating for Canadian newcomers. She was attracted to Seneca’s program because of its pathway opportunities with Ryerson University, where she will study social work in the fall. Shohreh enjoyed every day at Seneca. She was a member of the Immigration Refugee Club and was a student ambassador, sharing her positive experience in the program with prospective students at Seneca’s Open House. Shohreh is currently participating in community service initiatives in her local Bahá’í community and attending workshops that focus on mental health, first aid, community services and immigration policies. Shohreh’s goal is to become an immigration lawyer.
