Student Work Placement Program (SWPP) is a WIL funding opportunity from the Government of Canada. Employers can apply for wage subsides to help them hire postsecondary students. Employers may receive a wage subsidy:
- up to $5,000 for every student hired through the program
- up to $7,000 for every student hired that is in their first year of study or is from an underrepresented group including:
- women in STEM
- persons with disabilities
- newcomers to Canada
- Indigenous students
- visible minorities
