Seneca Program: Arts & Science – University Transfer

Degree: 5-year MD Pathway

Seneca graduates with an overall GPA of 3.4 who meet all pre-requisites for entry into St. George’s University (SGU) School of Medicine may proceed into the five year MD Pathway program. A minimum grade of B in the following courses is also required: BIO358 (Biology I), BIO359 (Biology II), CHM358 (Chemistry I), CHM 359 (Chemistry II) PHY358 (Physics I) and MTH458 (Calculus I). Admitted students will be eligible to attend one year of pre-clinical coursework and then proceed to year one of the Basic Sciences in Grenada and/or Northumbria University in the U.K., followed by year two of the Basic Sciences in Grenada and the final two years of this program in clinical rotations at SGU’s affiliated hospitals in the U.S., Canada and/or the U.K.. Canadian applicants are not required to submit an MCAT score unless an MCAT exam has been previously taken or the applicant has a date to take the MCAT. In addition to the SGU application, two letters of recommendation, a personal statement as well as an admissions interview will be required.

Note: Seneca’s Arts and Science – University Transfer diploma will satisfy all SGU prerequisite coursework except one year (two terms) of Organic Chemistry with lab. Students must complete one year (two terms) of Organic Chemistry with lab and obtain a grade of B or higher to meet requirements for entry into SGU’s 5-year MD pathway.


Seneca Program: Pre-Health Sciences Pathway to Advanced Diplomas & Degrees

Degree: 6-year MD Pathway

Seneca graduates with a 3.4 GPA who meet all prerequisites for entry into SGU’s School of Medicine may proceed into the six-year MD Pathway program. Admitted students will be eligible to attend two years of pre-clinical coursework and then proceed to year one of the Basic Sciences in Grenada and/or Northumbria University in the U.K., followed by year two of the Basic Sciences in Grenada and the final two years of this program in clinical rotations at SGU’s affiliated hospitals in the U.S., Canada and/or the U.K. Canadian applicants are not required to submit an MCAT score unless an MCAT exam has been previously taken or the applicant has a date to take the MCAT.
