Acting for Camera & Voice

Asante Tracey hails from small town Alberta where his passion for performance and storytelling was born and his education in motion picture arts at Red Deer College began. Now, having been a resident of Toronto for more than a decade, Mr. Tracey continues his pursuit of acting — being privileged enough to take part in numerous TV, film, theatre and educational projects. Such credits include Titans, Cooking Up Love, The Devil’s Tail, Stargate, Taken, Mouthpiece, the world premiere of one of Tennessee Williams’ lost works, The Big Game, an award-winning performance in the Fringe premiere of Grey as well as The Girl with Rose-Coloured Glasses and The Bulldog Effect — a pair of independent short films written, produced and starred in by Mr. Tracey.

He is also a graduate from the teacher education program at York University as a history and drama major, and a proud member of the Toronto District School Board. More recently, Mr. Tracey has embarked on a professorship in the Acting for Camera and Voice program at Seneca — one of the top 20 in Canada. As a dedicated and passionate educator, storyteller and global activist, he is excitedly anticipating his future in acting and arts education, aspiring to one day share his passions the world over, by teaching and acting on every continent.
