Robert Ballantyne is a Cree-Mohawk academic, educator and investigative journalist. He was a former producer with CBC's Marketplace and The Fifth Estate. His work has also appeared in the Toronto Star and Hamilton Spectator and on The Nature of Things, The National among other places. Mr. Ballantyne earned bachelor degrees in journalism from Toronto Metropolitan University and in education from the University of Ottawa. He is completing a master’s degree in journalism at Carleton University. He is also an experienced front-end web developer and a former intermediate and secondary school teacher, specializing in English and history.
