Mark has been teaching at the School of English and Liberal Studies at Seneca since 2013. He completed his MA in history at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, and is currently wrapping up his PhD in United States history at York University. Mark worked as a teaching assistant at York University and was an editor of Left History, an established academic journal. Mark’s doctoral work focuses on aspects of 19th century United States postal law and how it was used to suppress unpopular voices. His other research interests lie in American and Canadian studies, religion, cultural studies, and gender.
