Seneca offers a number of webinars specially designed for you. These online sessions are an easy and convenient way to learn more applying as an adult learner, upgrading, credential assessments, part-time studies and more.

Applying as an Adult Learner

Do you consider yourself an “adult learner” or “mature student”? Do you have some life experience before coming to Seneca? Whether you’re a mature student, internationally educated or an adult learner, this session is for you. We’ll explore a variety of topics from types of adult learners to credential assessments to learning options and follow this up with a Q&A period.

Upgrading Programs and Courses

At Seneca, we offer a number of free upgrading options to help you get started on your postsecondary journey. Join us to learn more about these options, including detailed information on our Academic Upgrading program and English/math equivalency courses.

Credential Assessments: How to Apply to Seneca

Are you a newcomer or internationally trained individual considering going back to school? Join our webinar to learn how an assessment of your secondary and postsecondary credentials, compared to Canadian standards, can help you make important decisions when applying to Seneca. This webinar will provide you with more information on your credential options, transfer credits and the training needed to achieve your goals.

Part-Time Studies

Interested in studying at Seneca part time? Explore our range of programming offered on a part-time basis with classes in the early mornings, evenings, weekends or online anytime.

College Panel for Adult Learners

Returning to school or considering a new career direction? Join this online college panel to hear from representatives of six major colleges. You’ll learn how to get your experiences recognized and ask the questions you need to kickstart your future. 

Representatives from Centennial, George Brown, Georgian, Humber, Seneca and Sheridan will be on hand to answer your questions.

Learn more about Second Career

Second Career is an Ontario government grant that provides financial support to help qualified laid-off workers train for in-demand careers. You may qualify, based on financial need.  Join us for webinar to learn more.  Sessions are being offered in March, April and May.

Career Recharge Workshops

Last year, Seneca HELIX received a $1-million grant from the TD Ready Challenge to deliver the TD-HELIX Transformation Initiative, now known as Career Recharge.

Career Recharge offers free workshops to mid-career professionals on a variety of different topics every other Tuesday at Seneca or online. You are welcome to participate in workshops, events and mentorship opportunities.
