Seneca Program: Government Relations, Public Relations – Corporate Communications

Degree: Masters in Political Management or Masters in Strategic Public Relations

George Washington University’s Graduate School of Political Management (GSPM) will provide an opportunity for graduates of Seneca’s Public Relations – Corporate Communications and Government Relations graduate certificate programs to enter their Masters in Strategic Public Relations or Masters in Political Management with advanced standing. George Washington University (GWU) offers both an online and a Washington, D.C.-based program option.

Both programs produce the same degree and have equal standing, and both are options for Seneca’s graduates. Graduates of these Seneca programs who obtain an overall cumulative minimum GPA of 3.3, in addition to obtaining at least a “B” in each of their classes and meet all outlined admission criteria for GWU/GSPM, will be eligible to receive six credit hours of advanced standing upon acceptance. Students will be required to undertake an additional 24 credits (eight courses) for the Master’s in Strategic Public Relations and an additional 30 credits (10 courses) to complete the Master’s in Political Management. Students must also maintain good academic standing to complete the GWU Master’s degree program. Students must obtain a letter of recommendation from their Seneca program co-ordinator to be eligible to pursue this pathway.
