Seneca grads gear up for the Oscars
Nominated films include Incredibles 2, Avengers and Spiderman
Four Seneca grads from the School of Arts & Animation will be watching this year’s Oscars with extra special attention.
While Animation grad Graham Finley and 3D Animation grad Brendan Beesley animated Incredibles 2, fellow Animation grad Deanna Marsigliese was a character and costume designer for the film, which is nominated for Best Animated Feature.
Zacary Campbell, a Visual Effects for Film & Television graduate, worked as a senior compositor on Avengers: Infinity War, which is nominated for Best Visual Effects. Campbell also worked as the lead compositor and lighter for Spiderman: Into the Spider-Verse, which is nominated for Best Animated Feature.
For more than a decade, Seneca has been at the forefront of developing Canadian talent. Seneca’s School of Creative Arts & Animation is ranked among Canada’s top training programs for animation and special effects.
The Oscars will be broadcast live on Sunday, Feb. 24.
