School of Media Professor Hershell Ezrin is among the 25 appointees of the Order of Ontario for 2020.

Mr. Ezrin has been teaching in the Government Relations graduate certificate program since 2014 and was an integral part of the program’s creation and development.

His distinguished career includes serving in the Privy Council Office under former prime minister Pierre Elliot Trudeau and as a deputy minister and the principal secretary for former Ontario premier David Peterson. Mr. Ezrin was also a Canadian Consul in Los Angeles and New York, and in the private sector, he has held executive positions with Speedy Muffler, GPC International and Molson Companies Limited.

Mr. Ezrin has also been recognized as an honorary governor of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra and an honorary director of the Canadian Journalism Foundation.
