Mitochondrial Intervention and Metabolomic Analysis of Human Sweat

Professor Frank Merante from the School of Biological Sciences and Applied Chemistry, in collaboration with Mitronite Inc., is developing a new method for measuring metabolic by-products excreted through human sweat glands. This method will be used to analyze the effects of a natural health product supplement, developed by Mitronite, on human metabolic efficiency. This first of its kind research will establish a new approach for monitoring performance improvements in athletes utilizing natural products. Funder: Seneca College Applied Research Fund (ARF).
