Nilay Goyal is a serial entrepreneur, community builder, professor and investor. He currently teaches entrepreneurship and finance at Seneca Polytechnic, as well as at York University. Mr. Goyal is also the co-founder of start-up accelerators Rev Startups and Hyper Accelerator and venture partner at venture capital firms, Nuvis Capital and Good News Ventures.
Mr. Goyal was involved in building the Toronto start-up ecosystem as co-founder of the Creative Destruction Lab at the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto and YSpace at York University. To date, he has helped more than 500 start-ups from 38 countries with their corporate strategy, scaling operations and fundraising goals. Mr. Goyal’s mentee start-ups have raised more than $500 million in funding.
He has also founded and sold multiple start-ups and has a background in the semiconductor industry and management consulting. Mr. Goyal holds a bachelor’s degree in electronics engineering from North Gujarat University (India) and an MBA from the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto.
