Rod Shannon is a professor in the School of Marketing. Before becoming a full-time Seneca Polytechnic faculty member more than 30 years ago, Mr. Shannon was a well-travelled experiential marketer with unique international business development and leadership expertise for several companies in the film and franchised fast-food industries. His marketing and finance teaching has focused on the integration of new technology and analytics into his courses. He is an avid supporter of student academic awards, college clubs and events and student marketing and business competitions. His senior-level work experience has given him a strong team orientation towards entrepreneurship, strategic problem solving, analytics and solution implementation. Mr. Shannon holds a BBA in marketing and finance and an MBA in finance and strategic planning from York University.
