Alumni Pay it Forward Challenge

The 2023 Alumni Pay It Forward Challenge raised $52,063 surpassing our goal of $50,000.

On behalf of our students, thank you for paying it forward!

The Pay It Forward Challenge was launched in 2016 to provide alumni with an opportunity to support students facing financial difficulties. Today, this has turned into an annual initiative creating a Pay It Forward movement – bringing alumni, students and corporations together. 

This initiative continues to promote awareness about student financial need and how that need continues to grow.

Alumni Pay It Forward Bursary

To date, 515 students have received a $500 bursary with $257,000 total donations received from our alumni and corporate donors.

A $500 bursary is equivalent to 32 hours of work for a student earning minimum wage. Since 2016, 16,480 hours of free time have been gifted to deserving Seneca students – thanks to the Pay It Forward Challenge.

Frequently Asked Questions

Every dollar donated goes directly towards supporting our students. Seneca never spends donors’ funds on administration.

Yes. Tax receipts are issued for all donations of $20 and above. For online donations, a tax receipt will be generated and emailed to you. A tax receipt will be mailed for all donations received by cash or cheque.
