I am interested because I was so pleasantly blown away at how amazing my experience was. I had been a little disappointed in having to learn online instead of in person, but the whole setup and dedication Seneca put in gave me a wonderful learning experience. From the people to the things I learned, to the whole environment, I loved every aspect of Seneca's Dual Credit program. I truly want to share my experience and show people how amazing it was.

I firmly believe that all high school students would benefit so much from this experience and that Seneca provides an opportunity that should not be missed. I've been urging all my friends to sign up and try it out for themselves. 

It was a really good opportunity for me to get the hang of what learning was like at a college. I was nervous about studying at a college and thought it was intimidating, but it wasn’t and was an amazing time. It was a great way to meet other high school students and learn from a real professor. 

Although I haven’t graduated high school yet, I can see so many things that Dual Credit has paved a path for. To begin with, the encouragement I was given in class encouraged me to speak up and engage in conversations and class discussions. My friendly teacher showed me how college and high school really aren’t that different and I should not be afraid to seek help or clarification.

I’ve always been quite anxious about the transition between high school and postsecondary, but through this program, I’ve gained confidence that things won’t be too bad. Even so, I felt more responsibility placed on my shoulder as completion of work and catching up on missed classes were almost completely up to me. So, through the course, I learned to be more independent and responsible for my work and further improved my time management.

It has given me a clearer idea of what path I want to take in the future and showed me just how eager I am to continue my studies and continue learning beyond my high school years.

I’m a lot more at peace, I used to be really nervous about going to postsecondary, but I learned it’s totally doable and gave me reassurance for my future! 

A lot of courses that Dual Credit offers aren’t available at high school. I never would have been able to learn these subjects if not for Dual Credit. It gives you an opportunity to learn more about your future career goals and the classes help you learn great skills. I got to meet a lot of people from different high schools all interested in the same subject as me, it was an incredible experience.

The course was set up like a discussion and we got to participate and interact with the professor and other students. Having the assignments clearly laid out with the weights of the different projects made everything so clear. 

The people and resources — I really enjoyed working with everyone. Whenever I contacted anyone for help, everyone was so nice about it. When you have nice people, the whole environment changes and that made it such a valuable experience for me. I really appreciated the check-ins and felt very cared for.
